Teaser Tuesday #9

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser comes from pg6 of First Grave on the Right. I laughed out loud when I read this, to put it in context she just woke up and is entering the bathroom.
'Just suck it up, I told myself. It has to be done. I placed a shaky hand on the wall, held my breath, and flipped the switch.
"I'm blind!" I yelled, shielding my eyes with my arms.'

Please leave a link to your teaser and I'll swing by.

  3. Hi Shandy,

The great teaser was enough to have me scuttling off to Darynda's website, which is very intense and very 'red'.

I am still a little unsure whether this is a totally serious book, or if there is a deliberate element of humour there as well, but it sounds a delicious read.

Hope that you are enjoying this one and that you are having a good week,

Yvonne (thanks for stopping by Fiction Books)

    1. Yvonne, judging from what I read, I think there's a deliberate humor element. I just started but so far it's been a super fun read.

  8. Maybe I shouldn't laugh, but I did *sheepish grin* I have been very curious about this series, but haven't gotten around to picking it up. In all honesty, Laurel K. Hamilton has kind of burned me on feeling out new urban fantasy. They all end up being poorly written erotica or a B porno. Anyways . . .

    Thanks for stopping by!

    1. The books been pretty funny so far. I haven't read Laurel K. Hamilton... at least the names not familiar. I've noticed the a lot of the urban fantasy has naughty bits in it, but I don't think it qualifies as erotica, most the time the author just glosses over it. Kind of reminds me of the old romance novels.

You're welcome and thanks for returning the favor.
