Even White Trash Zombies Get the Blues (White Trash Zombie #2)
by Diana Rowland
Publisher: DAW
Released: July 3rd 2012
Genre: Fiction- Adult: Urban Fantasy, Zombies
How I got it: Bought it

Angel Crawford is finally starting to get used to life as a brain-eating zombie, but her problems are far from over. Her felony record is coming back to haunt her, more zombie hunters are popping up, and she’s beginning to wonder if her hunky cop-boyfriend is involved with the zombie mafia. Yeah, that’s right—the zombie mafia.
Throw in a secret lab and a lot of conspiracy, and Angel’s going to need all of her brainpower—and maybe a brain smoothie as well—in order to get through it without falling apart.

Review: After reading the first book in this series I had to read book 2.
Angel is such an awesome character  In this installment her luck hasn't changed much. She's still dealing with coming to terms with her new life. Not with being a zombie, she's got that down pretty much but with being a stand up citizen, dating a cop, and meeting his family. She still has issues about her past, and giving how she was before becoming a zombie. a screw up, it's understandable. At least she was trying to keep on the straight and narrow.
I have to add that I really liked the information given in this book about zombies in this series. Ms Rowland's take on zombies is actually pretty unique and a version I had never seen or considered before. Instead of a virus  Ms Rowland's zombies are created via a parasite. There's a lot of sciency mumbo jumbo to help make the information more believable.
I found the plot of this book a bit more crazy than the first. A zombie mafia, conspiracy theories, hit men, and poor Angel somehow gets herself caught right in the middle. There was a lot of action in this book, which keep me turning pages to see how it would end. I can't wait to see what happening in book 3.
