How I got it: Bonus story in Lullaby

Don’t miss this imaginative new short story set in the magical world of Watersong—a realm of enchanting beauty…and terrifying secrets.

Aggie is a mythological creature on a secret mission. Lydia is a young woman from a magical family with no real powers of her own. And Daniel is a high school boy who’s made it his duty to protect his deeply troubled older brother. Then one fateful night, their lives collide in a terrifying accident that changes them all forever. And beneath the surface, the ripple effects of the accident will have more impact than anyone could ever guess...changing not only their future, but the fate of an entire town.

Review: This is a short bonus story at the end of Lullaby
This centers around the accident that killed Daniel's brother John and Aggie the dead siren sister. I was kind of suspicious of Daniel's reaction to Penn in Lullaby. It actually got me wondering if Daniel he either run into them before or was some sort of secret monster hunter. This story explains a lot. It gives a lot of background and insight into Daniel. This also gives readers a peek at Aggie, the siren Gemma replaces, for me this was a great little teaser it also raised more questions about Daniel and his connection to the sirens. I found myself wondering if the characters in this story would make an appearance in the books.
