It's Monday!

I have gotten nothing done this week reading wise, and no reviews either. I blame this on my hubby and mother. Hubby because he started the DIY project of painting our trailer. It was brown and yellow, not it's green and white. Sure it looks slightly better but I'm not crazy abut the top half of the trailer being hunter green and the lower half white. Guess we'll just have to see what it looks like done. Maybe it won't be too bad.And I blame my Mother, because I've become her offical (unpaid) PR person for her etsy store. But I can't blame her too much I've been making paracord bracelets and doodads which she's let me put on the store so guess I'm promoting myself too. If your curious check out Mabel and Nanny's Designs.
Now on to.... (psst it's the same as last week)

Welcome to It’s Monday! What Are You Reading!

Chimera: A Jim Chapel Mission by David Wellington

A fabulous new talent-the heir to Patrick Lee and James Rollins-delivers his first published novel: a wildly imaginative tale that combines elements of horror and science in the vein of Michael Crichton, in which a circle of unlikely heroes must uncover a nefarious cabal and prevent it from unleashing a diabolical threat that could destroy the world

7 fugitives escape from a secret military facility in upstate New York, leaving a trail of bodies in their wake.

7 super-soldiers gone rogue.

7 innocent citizens targeted for death.

Disabled Army Vet James Chase is drafted for a desperate mission to stop this lethal force. Aided by a mysterious woman named Angel and a courageous, beautiful veterinarian, Chase sets off on a hair-raising cross-country hunt.

But are the killers really rogue soldiers, or are they only the tip of a sinister conspiracy . . . the first piece of a shocking nightmarish plan that will lead to ultimate destruction?

The Super Spies and the Pied Piper (book #3) by Lisa Orchard
Sarah Cole and her sister Lacey are at it once again when they learn their missing parents’ cell phone has been traced to Alden, Michigan. When the FBI declines to continue the investigation, Sarah takes matters into her own hands. She calls upon the Super Spies and they delve into the situation. Suddenly, the teens find themselves immersed in small town intrigue and mystery involving a menacing stranger, who Sarah dubs “The Stalker." But when Sarah learns he’s connected to her parents’ disappearance, she’s determined to find out what that connection is. The Super Spies embark on a journey that leads them into a web of corporate corruption at its highest level that leaves innocent victims in its wake. Can they find the proof they need to stop the greedy corporation before it’s too late?

Monsters (Ashes Trilogy #3) by Ilsa J. Bick
The Changed are on the move. The Spared are out of time. The End...is now.

When her parents died, Alex thought things couldn't get much worse-until the doctors found the monster in her head.

She headed into the wilderness as a good-bye, to leave everything behind. But then the end of the world happened, and Alex took the first step down a treacherous road of betrayal and terror and death.

Now, with no hope of rescue-on the brink of starvation in a winter that just won't quit-she discovers a new and horrifying truth.

The Change isn't over.
The Changed are still evolving.
And...they've had help.

With this final volume of The Ashes Trilogy, Ilsa J. Bick delivers a riveting, blockbuster finish, returning readers to a brutal, post-apocalyptic world where no one is safe and hope is in short supply.

A world where, from these ashes, the monsters may rise.

    1. I hope so, now that it's on and dry it's not as bad as I thought it would be. You can say "your" etsy store mom claims it's fifty fifty but so far most the stuff's from her. You can tell because it's sewn and I didn't get the sewing gene.

  2. When things don't go my way, I keep remembering the immortal words of that great folk hero, Pete the Cat..."It's aaaallll good!"
