Monday Update!

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed lately, I have a bunch of reviews that need to be done. Something like 5 reviews to write and 11-12 to read then write. We decided to do a handmade Christmas this year, due to hubby not going back to work and me not being able to find work, which mean I have a whole list of things to make from hats and scarf sets to necklaces and watch bands. Well that is if I can ever find some watch faces, do you have any idea how hard those things are to find. I may have to buy a watch and disassemble it. I know it's only October but when your making things yourself it seems a lot shorter. Of course this means that all the projects I wanted to work on for the store have been put on hold until I get the prezzies done. (Sigh) Not to mention cutting into my reading time. Ugh!
I did manage to finish something I've been working on for the past few weeks. The Survivalistas is a novella that I wrote and wasn't sure what to do with... so I posted it as a serial blog-The Survivalistas
It's a zombie apocalyptic YA story, let me know if you like it or not. Each week there will be a new segment.

Sick by Tom Leveen- Reading for NetGalley

Breakfast Club meets The Walking Dead as a group of unlikely allies tries to survive a deadly outbreak.

Brian and his friends are not part of the cool crowd. They’re the misfits and the troublemakers—the ones who jump their high school’s fence to skip class regularly. So when a deadly virus breaks out, they’re the only ones with a chance of surviving.

The virus turns Brian’s classmates and teachers into bloodthirsty attackers who don’t die easily. The whole school goes on lockdown, but Brian and his best friend, Chad, are safe (and stuck) in the theater department—far from Brian’s sister, Kenzie, and his ex-girlfriend with a panic attack problem, Laura. Brian and Chad, along with some of the theater kids Brian had never given the time of day before, decide to find the girls and bring them to the safety of the theater. But it won’t be easy, and it will test everything they thought they knew about themselves and their classmates.

100 Days in Deadland (Deadland, #1)by
A Journey Through Dante's Inferno with a Shambling Twist...
The world ended on a Thursday.
In one day, the world succumbed to a pestilence that decimated the living. In its place rose a new species: vicious, gruesome, wandering monsters with an insatiable hunger for the living. There is no government, no shelter.

Still in her twenties, Cash has watched her friends die, only to walk again. An office worker with few survival skills, she joins up with Clutch, a grizzled Army veteran with PTSD. Together, they flee the city and struggle through the nine circles of hell, with nothing but Clutch’s military experience and Cash’s determination to live. As they fight to survive in the zombie inferno, they quickly discover that nowhere is safe from the undead… or the living.

This is the beginning after the end.
(100 Days in Deadland is a modern remake of Dante's Inferno, the classic tale on the horrors of hell... zombie apocalypse style!)

  1. I'm behind with reading and reviews and like you have decided to have a homemade Christmas due to sad finances. I love homemade pressies but they require time and effort, good luck with yours. I tried to check out your Survivalistas but got "your account does not have access to view this page"
    Have a great week :)
