I'm a geeky thirty something, who lives in upstate NY with my hubby and two kidlets. I created this blog to share my love of book along with my adventures in getting fit and healthy.
As I spend 10 hrs 4 days a week inside a factory, I spend as much time outside as I can. I love hiking, mountain climbing, taking trips with my family, or even just wandering around local historic sites and cemeteries. I'll read anything that catches my eye, I'm a bit of a cover whore. If I see a beautiful cover it attracts me like a moth to a flame. I have a soft spot for zombies, ghosts, and anything that goes bump in the night. I actually wrote a zombie apocalyptic series called The Survivalistas which is serialized on it's own blog. I have a bit of a zombie obsession. But I'm a reader first and a writer second.
I've always been skinny at my heaviest I was 140lbs and that was 8 months preggers with my son, so 10lbs of that was baby. Just cause I'm skinny doesn't mean I've always been healthy. A few years ago DK (hubby) and I decided to try a trail we'd already done once, but it was nearby and we were going to hike it again. Long story short the trail is very vertical in some spots and we were huffing and puffing before more than two miles into the trail. After that I wanted to get and stay fit. It's been a lot of up and down times over the past few years. I've slacked, wanted to give up and gave into frustration. This blog chronicles all of my attempts to get fit, healthy, and eat better.
What you can expect to see on here, books and fitness stuff mostly. My journey, trials, tribulations, joys, triumphs, while trying to get fit. Along with some random geekiness.
