The fifth in the exciting urban fantasy series featuring Persephone Alcmedi, a modern-day witch with a sexy werewolf boyfriend.
Persephone Alcmedi has helped her waerewolf lover Johnny unlock his powers. Now she must come to the aid of Menessos, the vampire overlord she has secretly marked. Beset by a trio of truth-seeking vampire sisters so dangerous their own kind keep them confined in stone, he now needs her more than ever...and she realizes her need for him. Seph has magical promises to fulfill for the waeres, multiple mundane family challenges to meet, vampire politics to confront, both the supernatural males in her life to balance, a dragon to deal with...and then a government investigator shows up to complicate matters.

Review:  This book was.... wow. So much going on it's crazy. Everything starts with Seph,Nana and Eris,Seph's mother. In the previous book,Arcane Circle, Eris, gave her right arm to free Johnny from the spells she'd placed on him. After spending time being guilt tripped by her mother and disliked by her new found little brother, her duties call. Why Seph doesn't just say so to her mother, is beyond me. Eris knows Seph is EV check everyone knows it, instead of dealing with the guilt trip and whatnot why doesn't she tell her mother she has to deal with an EV problem. I figured her mother would have understood that better than I gotta go, and all the cloak and dagger stuff. Even three harpy vampires. .
Heldridge, one of Menessos many vampire children has learned their secret and is determined to spill the beans to VEIN, the vampire government. So to speak. Menessos is really starting to bug me, all his secrets. He knows so much yet won't let Seph in. But then I never really liked him anyway. He's to uppity and know it all, yet some of his facade is starting to crumble under the the weight of what's going on or Seph's hexes it remains to be seen.
I don't like New Johnny! He's to serious, to alpha and way not sexy anymore, ok still little sexy. All the stuff that made him appealing has gone proof out the window. The triangle Isn't balanced anymore. Since Johnny was my favorite character this burns me up.
Another fast moving plot, again Seph is almost killed and ruins a beautiful dress, yet learns that she has tricks up her sleeve and can deal with whatever fate throws at at her. I'm anxious to see where the next book takes us.
